About Marylyn

Marylyn Agius is a psychotherapist and social worker at Vita Mea Clinic in Mosta, Malta. She holds a Master's degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology. She is passionate about supporting children, young people, and adults in developing greater self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth.

Throughout her career, Marylyn has gained extensive experience working with children, young people, and families across various social care settings. Her work has involved supporting individuals through complex life circumstances, safeguarding concerns, and experiences of trauma. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the importance of compassion, connection, and creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and understood.

Marylyn adopts a creative and experiential approach to therapy, incorporating different techniques and therapeutic mediums to help clients explore and express their emotions in ways that feel meaningful to them. She recognises that everyone has their own unique way of communicating and understanding their experiences, and believes that therapy should be tailored to each individual's needs.

Alongside her professional work, Marylyn is deeply involved in sports and is passionate about the positive impact physical activity can have on mental health and overall wellbeing. Through her involvement in sports, she has developed a particular interest in the connection between mind and body, which continues to inspire her studies in Sports and Exercise Psychology.

Marylyn believes that therapy is a journey of discovery and connection, offering individuals the opportunity to recognise their strengths, develop resilience, and create meaningful change at their own pace.
